Droplivo is an emotional communication platform that allows users to create and send "Livos"— multimedia moments combining text, voice, music, and visuals to express appreciation and connection. Livos are intentional, personal, and not part of a public social feed.
Droplivo Inc. ("Droplivo," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By using Droplivo, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the Service.
1.1 Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, username, and profile photo.
- User Content:Text messages ("Livos"), photos (up to 5 per Livo), videos (up to 1 per Livo), voice recordings, and video recordings you create within the Service.
- Date of Birth: Collected at registration to verify age eligibility and apply appropriate protections.
- Payment Information: When you purchase Special Livos or other paid features, payments are processed by third-party providers (Apple App Store, Google Play Store, Paystack, and Stripe). Droplivo does not store your full credit card, debit card, or bank account details.
- Contacts:If you grant permission, we may access your device's contact list to help you find friends on Droplivo and invite new users. Contact data is used solely for this purpose and is not sold or used for advertising purposes.
- Communications: When you contact our support team, we collect the content of your messages and any attachments.
Information from Third-Party Services
- If you choose to sign in or connect your account using a third-party service (such as Meta, Google, or Apple), we may receive certain information from that service, depending on your settings and permissions.
- This may include:
- Your name
- Email address
- Profile photo
- Account identifier
- We use this information to create and manage your account and provide the Service. We do not receive your passwords or full account credentials from these services. Your use of third-party login is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, IP address, mobile network information.
- Usage Data: Features used, actions taken within the app, timestamps, frequency of use, session duration.
- Log Data: Server logs, error reports, crash data, performance metrics.
- Cookies and Similar Technologies: Used on our website and web-based Livo viewer. See Section 6 (Cookie Policy) for more details.
Information We DO NOT Collect
- Precise Location: We do not use GPS or track your real-time location.
- Biometric Data: We do not collect fingerprint, face scan, or other biometric identifiers.
- Browsing History: We do not track your activity outside of Droplivo.
- Social Security Numbers or Government IDs: We do not collect these.
- Behavioral advertising data for users under 18.
1.2 How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To verify user age and enforce the minimum age requirement.
- To process transactions and send related information (receipts, confirmations).
- To send you Livo delivery notifications and in-app communications.
- To personalize your experience (e.g., daily prompts, other categories).
- To provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, and security threats.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
- To send you promotional communications (only with your opt-in consent; you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To generate anonymized, aggregate analytics about how the Service is used (e.g., total number of Livos sent and received, drafts, popular features). This data cannot identify individual users.
1.3 How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data.
We only share your information in the following limited circumstances:
- With Recipients:
When you send a Livo, the recipient will see the content you choose to include (such as text, photos, video, voice, music, and card design). The recipient may also see your display name and profile photo. - With Service Providers:
We work with trusted third-party providers (such as hosting, analytics, payment processing, and customer support services) to operate Droplivo. These providers access your information only to perform services on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect it. - For Legal Compliance:
We may disclose information where required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Droplivo, our users, or others. - In Business Transfers:
If Droplivo is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you where required by law. - For Safeguarding:
We may share information with law enforcement or child protection authorities where a minor may be at risk. Mandatory reporting of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) applies. - With Your Consent:

1.4 Data Retention
- We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide the Service.
- If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, unless a longer retention period is required for legal, regulatory, security, or legitimate business purposes.
- The Livos you have sent to other users may remain accessible to those recipients even after you delete your account, as they form part of the recipient's received content.
- Backup copies may be retained in secure systems for up to 90 days after deletion, solely for disaster recovery.
1.5 Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest, access controls, regular security audits, and secure coding practices. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Deletion: Request the deletion of your account and personal data, subject to applicable law.

1.7 Children's Privacy
Droplivo is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under the age of 16. If we become aware that a user under 16 has created an account, we will delete the account and all associated data promptly. Date of birth is collected at registration to enforce this requirement. 1.8 International Data Transfers
Droplivo operates globally. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States, where data protection laws may differ. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission where required.

Droplivo may contain links to or integrations with third-party services (Spotify, Apple Music, payment processors). This Privacy Policy does not cover the practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We do not use your content to train third-party AI models without your explicit consent.
